Maite Mijares is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Mexico City office and leads Spencer Stuart’s Healthcare Practice in Latin America, which includes biopharma, healthcare services, life sciences and medical technology. She also leads the Human Resources Practice in Mexico. Maite brings more than two decades of experience in talent consulting, leadership advisory and executive development, along with deep sector expertise in the life sciences industry.

- Maite has successfully led senior level executive searches for local, regional and multinational companies in the pharmaceutical and consumer goods sectors, as well as leadership assessment and development projects aligned with strategic business objectives.
- Prior to rejoining Spencer Stuart, Maite worked at another global executive search firm and at Towers Perrin as a compensation and benefits consultant, where she led projects for the pharmaceutical industry.
- She also served as the lead consultant for pharmaceutical and consumer sector clients at Pericas, Guerrero & Asociados, the Towers Perrin representative in Venezuela and Colombia.
- Earlier in her career, Maite worked at Nestlé Venezuela as a recruiting specialist.
Maite holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from Andrés Bello Catholic University in Caracas and a certificate in human resources development and performance management from Oklahoma State University. A native of Venezuela, she is a certified professional coach and is fluent in both Spanish and English.
