Chuck Jordan successfully recruits senior leaders for clients as a consultant in the Education, Nonprofit & Government (ENG) Practice and leads ENG efforts in the southeastern United States. His work focuses on institutions of higher education with a particular emphasis on searches for presidents, provosts and deans, and he has participated in the recruitment of talented leaders for academic and philanthropic positions in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Consultative search experience
- Chuck has deep expertise recruiting deans of business, engineering and public policy schools and has completed searches for all functional positions in higher education. His broader experience encompasses work for a range of not-for-profit organizations, including cultural institutions, foundations, independent schools and think-tanks. In addition, Chuck has experience and enthusiasm for understanding the influence of technology in education.
- Chuck served as Spencer Stuart’s first director of professional staff recruiting, managing firm-wide efforts to attract top consultants and research associates. He also acted as the firm’s interim director of professional development.
- Before joining Spencer Stuart, Chuck served clients for four years at McKinsey & Company as an engagement manager, with expertise in the financial services, technology and not-for-profit sectors. Earlier in his career, Chuck worked in Accenture’s strategic services practice, based in San Francisco. Chuck also served overseas as an artillery officer in the United States Marine Corps, departing with the rank of captain.
Chuck holds a B.A. in political science and English from Tufts University and an M.B.A. in finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
