Raphael Carvalho brings his financial services leadership expertise to Spencer Stuart

SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL, May 1, 2025 — Spencer Stuart is excited to announce that Raphael Carvalho has joined the firm as a core member of the Financial Services Practice, building on a 30-plus year career in financial services as an executive and management consultant.

Focused on the Latin American financial and professional services industries, Carvalho’s areas of expertise include insurance, retail banking, payments and consumer finance. Throughout his career, he has gained extensive experience working with boards of directors, both as a member and as an executive officer. He joins Spencer Stuart on the heels of leading IRB-Re, a leading Latin American reinsurer and, prior to that, MetLife in Brazil and Colombia. Carvalho has led successful turnaround, transformation and capital-raise programs and developed business units from scratch. Earlier in his career, he was a member of the financial services practice of another leading executive search firm as well as a partner at Accenture in the financial services sector.
