Seonaid Charlesworth works as a member of the firm’s Leadership Advisory Services. She specializes in CEO succession, executive assessment, and leadership development, and she advises boards and CEOs on building leadership capacity to execute strategy through succession, development and culture.
Strategic advisor on CEO succession and executive assessment
Seonaid has more than 20 years of experience in executive assessment, working with global organizations in Canada, the U.S., Europe and Asia and with fast-growing technology companies in Vancouver and the U.S. West Coast.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Seonaid led the CEO succession and assessment practice for a large leadership advisory firm in Canada. She defined the firm’s assessment and succession solutions, advised boards and CEOs on succession and leadership capacity, and developed and presented thought leadership at industry events.
Earlier, Seonaid spent five years with a global consulting firm working with Fortune 100 companies on succession and assessment, where she was initially based in Chicago and later in San Francisco.
Seonaid completed her Ph.D. and M.A. in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of British Columbia and graduated from Queen’s University with a B.A. (honors) in psychology.
