Priya Ratnam is a consultant and a member of Spencer Stuart’s Leadership Advisory Services practice. A certified executive coach and a former top executive, Priya is a trusted adviser and thought partner to CEOs and C-suite leaders. She is a purpose-driven leader who is passionate about identifying and developing great leaders, with a particular focus on underrepresented groups in the C-suite. She is based in San Francisco, but she draws on more than 25 years of experience as a business and operating executive and consultant in North and South America, Europe and Asia.

- Previously at Spencer Stuart, Priya was a member of the Biopharma Practice, where she specialized in advising and recruiting CEOs and senior-level executives, and C-suite successions and transitions.
- Priya was previously head of the Europe South Region at Roche, the global healthcare company, where she managed a $1.5 billion P&L and a team of more than 1,000 people, and led her unit to double-digit year-over-year sales growth. During her time there, her leadership team, including 11 country general managers, achieved gender parity while the overall number of women leaders in the region increased by 38%. She also served on the company’s DE&I council and pioneered various programs to help achieve the firm’s DE&I targets.
- Earlier she worked for several multinational companies, including Novartis, Sanofi and Schering-Plough (now Merck), in a variety of commercial and general management roles in the United States, Europe and Latin America.
Priya holds a PhD in microbiology and molecular medicine from Clemson University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
