Nirvan Nuckchedee is the Spencer Stuart Toronto office lead and a core member of the firm’s Industrial Practice, specializing in infrastructure, energy transition and industrials. Nirvan has a deep background in operational leadership, project delivery and development, and growth strategy. His sector experience encompasses power, nuclear, emissions, water, infrastructure and process industries. Nirvan is a recipient of the firm’s Lou Rieger Quality Award for client service.

Global industrial and infrastructure expert

  • Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Nirvan spent 10 years at AtkinsRéalis, a multinational company providing engineering, procurement, and construction services in various industries including nuclear, mining and metallurgy, oil and gas, environment and water, and infrastructure. Nirvan has held numerous leadership roles at AtkinsRéalis, advising clients internationally on nuclear, process plant and water project developments before leading the manufacturing and aftermarket equipment segment for its nuclear division.
  • Earlier, he advised energy and commodity trading clients as part of Deloitte & Touche’s global energy markets practice where clients ranged from utilities to financial institutions to commodity producers.
  • Nirvan began his career as a nuclear plant systems engineer with Ontario Power Generation, where he was awarded the Chief Nuclear Officer Award.

Nirvan earned his M.B.A. from York University’s Schulich School of Business, and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in biochemistry and chemical engineering from the University of Ottawa. He is fluent in English and French, and conversant in Japanese.
