Guido Bressani is a consultant in the firm’s Industrial Practice, with a focus on the international energy, engineering, manufacturing and infrastructure sectors. Based in Milan, he brings a range of executive leadership experience in Australasia, Europe and the United States. A former chief executive, entrepreneur and non-executive director, Guido has led leadership teams and organizations through startups, restructuring, mergers and strategic acquisitions.
An international perspective in the energy and infrastructure sectors
- Guido served in several chief executive roles, most recently as group CEO of STF, an Italian engineering and manufacturing contractor active in steam generation, where he launched the company’s financial restructuring initiative. He also was CEO of SapuraClough Offshore, the spinoff of the Marine Construction Division of Australia-based Clough, where he led the company through three years of organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
- He has held a variety of board directorships in both listed and private companies in Australia and the U.S. and his most recent role was as a non-executive director for Australia-based Tempo.
- Guido was also founding partner and chief operating officer for a Houston-based buy-and-build platform startup backed by the Norwegian private equity firm HitecVision.
- After serving in the Italian Navy, he began his professional career an engineer with Italian EPC contractor Saipem.
A dual citizen of Australia and Italy, Guido has a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Milano. He speaks Italian and English.
