Giorgio Villa, Ph.D., is a member of our global Healthcare, Board and CEO practices with more than two decades of academic, industry and leadership consulting experience. He focuses on board assignments in biopharma and healthcare for public, private and venture-backed organizations, where he has placed board chairs as well as board committee members. He specializes on the CEO to R&D continuum, including end-to-end research & development, working with leading healthcare, large and mid-cap pharma and pre-commercial biotech organizations globally, with a particular EMEA focus.

- At Spencer Stuart, Giorgio has placed senior executives in discovery, translational, clinical development and regulatory positions.
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, he spent five years within a boutique recruitment firm in Tokyo where he directed and helped establish his firm’s R&D recruitment team.
Giorgio holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Bern in Switzerland, and spent over a decade focusing on chemistry research, both in academic and pharmaceutical industry settings.
