Bill O’Leary joins Spencer Stuart’s LCG Practice as an expert in government affairs

Washington, D.C., May 11, 2026 - Spencer Stuart continues to expand its government affairs capabilities with the addition of Bill O’Leary as a consultant in its Legal, Compliance & Government Affairs Practice. He will lead the firm’s fast-growing government affairs and relations platform.

O’Leary brings experience from two prior global executive search firms, where he has placed numerous board directors and advisors for private, private equity-backed and publicly traded companies. He is respected for his deep expertise in government affairs, corporate affairs and strategic communication across public and private sectors.

O’Leary has led senior-level executive searches for prominent global organizations across the financial services, industrial, technology, health care and social impact sectors.

Prior to his search experience, he spent more than fifteen years in senior marketing and communications roles at Citigroup, Fannie Mae, a technology start-up and Georgetown University. He also served as senior vice president and managing director of strategic communications at Grenzebach Glier and Associates, a leading philanthropic consulting firm, and began his career working for the 1992 Clinton presidential campaign and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
