[New York] — November 18, 2015 — Spencer Stuart has launched a new one-stop online resource for the latest data in board composition, governance practices and director compensation among leading public companies in more than 20 countries. Available at www.spencerstuart.com/board-indexes, Board Governance Trends is an exclusive source of insight into the way board practices are changing around the world and how they compare across countries.
Board Governance Trends was launched in November 2015 to coincide with the 2015 releases of the Spencer Stuart Board Index, a study of composition and board trends among S&P 500 companies now in its 30th year, and the UK Board Index, an extensive review of governance practice in the largest 150 companies in the FTSE rankings. It includes the following elements:
- Spencer Stuart’s extensive collection of Board Indexes. The 25 Board Indexes available at launch provide a comprehensive view of governance practices among leading public corporations in various countries, localities and industries.
- Comparisons of governance data from more than 15 countries. Among the multi-country governance data included in the comparison are: board size and independence; the age of directors; the representation of women and foreign board members and new directors; directors’ outside board participation; director remuneration; and the size and makeup of executive committees.
- Articles, studies and videos providing analysis of governance trends and pressing governance topics. Two videos available at launch explore findings from the UK Board Index and what the rise of shareholder engagement on board composition and performance means for U.S. boards.
Board Governance Trends will be updated regularly with newly published Board Indexes and other content on board-related topics.
