An experienced executive and general manager for high-profile brands, Vikram (Vik) Sahney has deep experience in strategy and operations, and brings to Spencer Stuart a bold vision for leading organizations through transformation. As a consultant in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practice, he is known as an analytical and highly innovative problem solver with a reputation as approachable, humble and collaborative when partnering to solve problems.
A strategic mindset for elevating purpose-led businesses
- Before joining Spencer Stuart, Vik served as vice president of customer retention strategy and programs at T-Mobile, where he led initiatives to enhance customer experiences and achieve industry-leading churn performance. He also spent four years leading corporate strategy during his tenure including all M&A and T-Mobile’s entry into fiber to the home.
- Prior to that role, he was an independent consultant for global institutions including Microsoft and X (Google's Moonshot Factory) on topics related to business strategy, product management, operations, and sustainability.
- Vik was the head of strategy, business development and sustainability and a member of the senior leadership team at REI Co-op, the nation’s largest consumer cooperative, with over 20 million members and $3B in revenue.
- Earlier in his career, he was an associate principal in McKinsey & Company’s Seattle Office, specializing in operations and strategy for industrial clients including automotive, aerospace, and mining and metals.
Through his career, Vik has worked globally, with significant time spent in the U.S., Canada, China, Australia and the UK. He has an M.B.A. and master’s in mechanical engineering from MIT and multiple engineering degrees from the University of Michigan. Active in the Seattle community, he serves as a leader, volunteer instructor and past board president at The Mountaineers and is on the board of directors for the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust.
