Tom Maxwell is a member of the Financial Services Practice, advising clients across retail, commercial and corporate banking, as well as insurance — including general insurance, specialty and life — on the recruitment of CEOs, CFOs, COOs, chief risk officers (CROs) and marketing leaders. During his 14 years with the firm, Tom has recruited senior executive leaders, chairs and non-executive directors for a range of listed and private companies.
Functionally, Tom specialises in risk management, partnering with a broad range of global clients across banking, insurance, asset management and fintech. He has a strong track record of placing senior risk leaders, including group and regional CROs and functional risk leaders.

- Before joining Spencer Stuart, Tom worked for a boutique executive search firm, where he helped establish and lead the CRO practice. Previously, he focused exclusively on risk management for a global recruitment firm.
- Tom began his career in marketing for the NBA and Betfair.
He is a graduate of Leeds University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Politics.
