Based in New York, Tadashi Shida is a member of Spencer Stuart's global Private Equity and Healthcare practices, where he advises private equity investors, biopharmaceutical companies and pharma services organizations on executive search, leadership advisory and talent strategy. His work spans the broader biopharma and pharma services ecosystem, supporting private equity funds and their portfolio companies as well as publicly traded and privately held companies across contract research organizations (CROs), contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMO), pharma commercialization, manufacturing and technology-enabled services. Tadashi partners with clients on leadership and board mandates, organizational assessments, and due diligence across the investment and business life cycle.

- Tadashi partners with private equity investors and leadership teams across the biopharma and pharma services sector on executive search and leadership advisory engagements. His work includes CEO, president, board and functional leadership searches for CRO, CDMO, commercialization and other pharma services businesses, as well as senior leadership assignments across technical operations, manufacturing, supply chain and commercial functions within biopharmaceutical companies. He also advises investors on portfolio company leadership assessment, operating partner recruitment and management due diligence.
- Before joining Spencer Stuart, Tadashi was a senior member of the healthcare and life sciences practice of a leading executive search and advisory firm focused exclusively on the private equity markets. He supported clients across the entire deal process, from investment thesis development and due diligence to pre- and post-deal management team and board searches.
- Previously, Tadashi served as director of operations for a multinational, family office-backed energy company and as a member of the human resources officer practice of a global executive search firm.
- He began his career advising public company and private equity clients on executive compensation and incentive design.
Tadashi earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a native English and Japanese speaker.
