Siang Yong Lim is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Singapore office and is a member of the firms Industrial and Technology, Media & Telecommunications practices. Siang brings a global perspective and more than 20 years of experience in senior-level roles across functions, including operations, marketing, strategy and business development in various industries.
Diverse functional expertise in energy, industrial and technology companies
- Most recently, Siang served as the Chief Operating Officer at 3DMetalforge, one of the fastest growing startups in additive manufacturing based in Singapore.
- Prior to that, he was the global head of business for specialties and marine at Infineum in Singapore, a joint venture between Shell and Exxon Chemicals.
- Based in Shanghai, he served as senior director of business development for Greater China for Philip Semiconductors (now NXP) and, before that, worked in Amsterdam in Philips’ corporate strategy group.
- Prior to that, Siang worked with McKinsey & Company in Singapore and began his career with TECH Semiconductor (now Micron) in various operational roles.
Siang graduated with an M.B.A. from Cornell University and earned a Bachelor of Engineering with first-class honours and a Master of Science in semiconductor physics from King's College, University of London. He speaks Mandarin and English.
