Sean Brawley is passionate about helping people grow and succeed as leaders. A consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Stamford office, Sean is focused on coaching CEOs, and advising clients on top team effectiveness and high-performance cultures. He has more than 25 years of experience working with some of the most successful sports teams and a wide variety of corporations, helping them sustain high performance in high-pressure environments. Sean has extensive experience facilitating workshops, and coaching CEOs and senior leaders in entertainment, technology, healthcare, professional services and finance.
High-performance coach to sports teams and CEOs
Before joining Spencer Stuart, Sean was the founder and CEO of the Brawley Leadership group, a CEO coaching and leadership training firm, for 18 years.
Among his work with sports organizations, Sean served as a coach adviser to Pete Carroll, former head coach of USC Trojans of the University of Southern California, as well as the team’s mental performance coach. He also was a player development consultant for the New York Yankees for 12 years.
Sean also worked with numerous corporate clients, including GE, ITT, Union Bank and Dave & Buster’s, where he served as a leadership coach for the company’s senior management team, who led a 30% increase in sales, 22% increase in employee engagement and retention, and 50% increase in stock price.
Sean graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in finance from the Marshall School of Business. He also was a highly ranked tennis professional on the ATP Tour and #1 player for the USC tennis team.
