Sandy is the founder of CEO.works, a leadership and talent consulting firm that transforms how organizations create value for all stakeholders. Drawing on 30+ years working alongside successful CEOs worldwide, he has codified the consistent practices that drive exceptional performance and translated them into practical tools for today’s business landscape. Sandy previously served as an operating partner at Blackstone and as chief human resources officer at Unilever. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Motorola and Dove Associates and began his professional life as a line officer in the U.S. Coast Guard. Sandy is currently chairman of the board for Nord Anglia Education and Prometric, and his entrepreneurial portfolio focuses on youth sports ventures, including Diamond Sports Foundation and CURVE Sports. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, an M.A. in Human Development from George Washington University, and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management. He has served on the boards of INSEAD, Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University), The European Academy for Business in Society (Vice Chairman) and BBH Advertising. In 2015, he was inducted as a fellow by the National Academy of Human Resources.
