Lerato Ndlovu is a leadership adviser within Spencer Stuart’s EMEA Financial Services Practice, focusing on financial services, infrastructure and development finance institutions throughout Africa. Based in Johannesburg and the Western Cape, she has over 25 years of experience in executive search and human resources. Lerato adds depth and practicality to discussions in the boardroom concerning leadership impact, succession planning and the development of executive talent. Her work spans across Africa, particularly in South Africa, West and East Africa, where she has cultivated a robust professional and personal network of top leaders, founded on long-lasting relationships. Lerato divides her time between Johannesburg and Cape Town.
EMEA expert in diversity, leadership development and transformation
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Lerato was a senior partner with Jack Hammer, based in Cape Town, responsible for the employment equity, financial services and non-executive director practices.
- Lerato started her career in recruitment in the financial services sector. She subsequently worked for a number of executive search firms in the roles of head of financial services practice, regional director and senior search consultant.
Lerato has a Bachelor of Arts in international relations and political analysis from the University of Cape Town. She sat on the board of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and is a Trustee of the Bridgehouse School Foundation in Franschhoek She speaks English, Sesotho, Zulu and is conversant in French.
