Kevin Jurd leads Spencer Stuart’s Board Practice for Australasia, and also belongs to the Consumer Practice, which he previously led in the Asia Pacific region. Kevin is actively involved in the firm’s CEO search and succession planning initiatives, and has undertaken a wide range of international and local board, senior executive and functional leadership assignments in the consumer, retail, consumer finance, hospitality, leisure and media sectors.
A career in leadership
- Kevin is a member of the global firm’s Board of Directors. He joined the Sydney office in 1993 and served as the managing director of the Australian operations for a combined seven years.
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Kevin was director of marketing and business development with PepsiCo Group’s retail business.
- Earlier, Kevin was with the internationally successful Penfolds Wine Group, Australia’s largest wine company, where he progressed to become global head of marketing. In this role, his key responsibility included the strategic planning, merger and acquisition and integration of a large number of Australian wine companies in both Australia and North America.
- Previously, Kevin spent six years marketing major global and local brands in the food, beverage and retail industries.
Kevin was educated at the University of New South Wales, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce in marketing.
