Julie Nahid Rahman is a member of Spencer Stuart’s Healthcare and Private Equity practices. She has more than a decade of healthcare private equity investment and management consulting experience and brings a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing healthcare and private equity leaders. She also brings deep knowledge of various markets, having worked both in Europe and the United States.
Extensive background in the healthcare and private equity sector
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Julie was a principal and founding member of Visium Healthcare Partners, the separate healthcare private equity platform of Visium Asset Management focused on providing customized growth capital to healthcare companies. She was based in the firm’s London office and was responsible for sourcing, evaluating and negotiating European investment opportunities. She has extensive relationships with senior management teams and board members of European healthcare companies and with the investment community.
- Earlier, Julie spent six years with Paul Capital Healthcare, the healthcare direct investment fund of Paul Capital. She worked in the firm’s London office and focused on royalty and structured financing for European and Asian healthcare companies.
- Julie began her career as a strategy consultant with Bain & Company in Boston and London and advised healthcare and private equity clients. While at business school, Julie also worked at SV Life Sciences in Boston, where she focused on medical device investment opportunities.
Julie received her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with her M.Sc. in materials science and her B.Sc. in chemical engineering. She is an active member of the Harvard Business School Club of London and a member of W.I.T.H (Women Innovating Together in Healthcare). Julie speaks fluent English and Bengali and conversational French, Spanish and Hindi.
