Julia Arco-Valley is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Energy Practice, with a focus on sustainability. With more than 15 years of experience in the energy sector, including founding a company in the wind sector and several executive roles at a leading European energy company, Julia supports industry leaders as they develop new energy solutions and prepare for the global energy transition. Julia is based in the Frankfurt office.
Leader in sustainable energy solutions with a background in economics
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Julia founded and led her own start-up, which developed small-sized wind turbines for decentralized energy solutions that reduced consumers’ energy bills by as much as half. Julia was honored with several awards as a leading founder and an energy world innovator.
- Prior to that, Julia spent 12 years at E.ON Group, one of Europe’s leading energy companies. Julia held many different positions at E.ON across geographies, with a primary focus on E.ON networks and renewables. She steered several major strategy projects across the globe.
Julia is a graduate of Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where she earned a master’s degree in economics. She wrote her diploma thesis on green certificates as a solution to the world’s climate problem. She is also featured in the media as a trusted thought leader on energy issues, including in Germany’s Handlesblatt on wind energy and chief sustainability officers. Julia is fluent in German and English and speaks conversational Spanish.
