John Niehaus is a consultant based in Spencer Stuart’s San Francisco office and a member of the firm’s Aerospace & Defense Practice. John brings over 35 years of consulting and industry experience as well as service in the U.S. Navy.

Decades of A&D industry experience

  • Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, John was a managing director in the A&D practice of Strategy&/PWC, where he focused on corporate and business strategy.
  • Earlier, John was a trusted advisor in the A&D practices of Booz Allen Hamilton, McKinsey and Avascent.
  • John was an executive with Raytheon serving as vice president, commercial ventures, and with Aerojet serving as director, M&A and investor relations.
  • He began his career serving in the U.S. Navy as a carrier aviator, and as Liaison Officer to the U.S. House of Representatives.

John received his bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan, and he holds an MBA from The Wharton School.
