Herman Krommendam is a member of Spencer Stuart’s global Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practice as well as the Consumer Practice. Herman’s functional focus is on human resources. During his 25 years in executive search, he has recruited a variety of senior executives for large and medium-sized corporations and not-for-profit organizations, both in the Netherlands and abroad.

Pan-European experience in media, HR and consumer goods

  • Herman is experienced in working with international companies with multiple cultures and also devotes his attention to nonexecutive board positions and assessments of top management.
  • He also started and led Spencer Stuart’s global, pro bono partnership with the United Nations' World Food Programme (2004-2008).
  • Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Herman was responsible for Arcade Entertainment Holdings’ international human resources activities and also served as group manager for Mercuri Urval, an international management consulting and recruiting company. He began his career with the insurance company Groupe Européen/U.A.P. as project manager of IT.
  • In addition, Herman co-published the book Leading Cross-Border Mergers (2002), in which 12 CEOs of Dutch corporations were interviewed on the subject of their experience with international mergers.

Herman graduated from the University of Amsterdam with a degree in Dutch language and literature, art management and business administration. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of MeyerMonitor. He speaks Dutch and English fluently and has a working knowledge of German and French.
