Gowri Cavale is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Leadership Advisory Services practice. Known for her strong business and financial acumen, Gowri brings more than 25 years of advisory experience as an expert on leadership development, talent strategy and organizational transformation. Gowri’s work focuses on executive learning, leadership coaching, C-suite assessments, CEO succession and top team effectiveness. She is based in New York.
Business-driven leadership advisory and executive coach
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Gowri spent a decade as a leader on PwC’s award-winning in-house learning and development team. Most recently, Gowri served as the firm’s head of leadership development strategy, leading all leadership and professional skills learning across the enterprise and coaching senior leaders at the individual and team levels.
- Gowri also held several client-facing roles, first as a member of PwC’s audit practice and later as a consultant, where she advised Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 clients on learning and organizational solutions to increase talent effectiveness and improve performance. Her work covered many sectors, including financial services, technology, healthcare, energy, retail and consumer, media, professional services and the public sector.
Gowri earned her executive coaching certification from Hudson Institute of Coaching and is an accredited professional certified coach with the International Coaching Federation. She is credentialed in team coaching through the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and is a certified practitioner of Hogan Assessments, the Enneagram Assessment and the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument. Gowri holds a B.S. in international management and French from the University of Bath and is a UK chartered accountant. She has lived and worked in London, Paris, New York and Bangalore.
In addition to her corporate work, Gowri devotes time to coaching women leaders in the social impact sector, teaching English in Asia and serving on the foundation board of the University of Bath.
