Chris Freedman is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Human Resources Practice and co-leads the firm’s total rewards group. He helps the world’s top companies recruit chief human resources officers (CHROs), heads of total rewards and other strategic human capital leaders who can navigate the complex landscape of talent management, organizational culture and employee engagement.

  • Chris has advised CEOs, boards and private equity partners on leadership challenges ranging from recruitment to succession planning and executive assessment.
  • He has extensive experience across industries, business types and organizational scale. Chris has worked with clients ranging from Fortune 10 organizations to high-growth, pre-IPO companies. He has worked on over 300 engagements, including cross-border and international assignments.
  • Chris has deep rewards experience, having worked on over 100 compensations, benefits and total rewards executive search engagements, including over 40 rewards searches for Fortune 500 companies. His expertise also spans HR operations, HR technology, HR information systems (HRIS), HR analytics and HR shared services.

Chris graduated from Kenyon College with an A.B. in history and political science.
