- Basak served as head of corporate strategy and a managing director at JPMorgan Chase, working closely with the CEO and the operating committee and leading critical projects across all banking lines of business, including designing go-to-market strategies for wealth management; setting up a diversity, equity and inclusion organization; and partnering with leadership to reimagine the future of work and build a future-proof HR organization.
- Basak and her team led several high-impact strategic efforts at JPMorgan Chase, including founding an accelerator that partnered closely with innovation hubs across the bank. Her innovation work included piloting new products such as the expansion of JPMorgan’s consumer bank in the U.K. and Germany.
- Basak spent eight years in strategy consulting at Oliver Wyman serving clients in financial services, with a deep focus on digital and retail banking, as well as being a key thought leader and founding member of the firm’s customer-first practice.
Basak earned a B.A. with a double-major in economics and history from Yale University. A passionate advocate for talent development, she founded and led the “Women on the Move in Strategy” chapter at JPMorgan Chase. Basak has formalized her interest in executive coaching through the ACT coaching certification program at Brown University. She lives in New York City with her family.
