Alexander Hiller co-leads the firm's Leadership Advisory Services Practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He advises clients on a range of leadership, succession and culture issues, including post-merger integration and helping them assess their senior leaders and talent to help increase their individual or team effectiveness. He is also a member of the firm's Private Equity, Financial Services and Consumer practices.

Strategic adviser with deep talent, leadership and change management expertise

  • Alexander brings more than 20 years of international consulting and management experience in strategy, banking as well as HR talent roles.
  • Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Alexander served as managing director and head of leadership, talent, performance and diversity for UBS, where he was responsible for creating, communicating and implementing an integrated talent and performance management strategy as well as culture change and senior leadership development globally across the group.
  • Previously Alexander held numerous business and HR leadership roles at Deutsche Bank globally, both at the group level and for corporate and investment banking as well as private wealth management, working out of the bank's Frankfurt, New York and London offices. As a director in the group's strategy and planning group, he focused on post-merger integration and change management.
  • Earlier, Alexander worked with McKinsey & Company, focusing on strategy and organisation-related projects for financial services and private equity clients.

Alexander earned a degree in banking from Bankakademie and an Executive M.B.A., with distinction, from INSEAD. He also completed INSEAD’s Executive Master in Coaching and Consulting for Change Program, where his research focused on the impact and RoI of executive coaching. He speaks German and English.
