Aaron Mieszczanski is a member of Spencer Stuart’s Education & Social Impact Practice, based in Los Angeles. With more than 10 years of education leadership experience, he focuses on identifying, placing and developing leaders of independent schools, K-12 and higher education, and mission-driven organizations.
Deep knowledge of independent school leadership
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Aaron was head of admission and enrollment for Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles and a member of the school’s senior leadership team. In that role, he streamlined processes, guided admissions during two years of the pandemic and led efforts to increase the diversity of the applicant pool and enrollment.
- Before that, he was director of admissions and financial aid for San Francisco University High School, as well as a member of the school’s senior administrative team. In addition to overseeing all recruitment, enrollment, and outreach at the school, he was responsible for managing the financial aid program.
- Earlier, he served as senior associate director of admission and coordinator of multicultural outreach for The Thacher School in Ojai, CA.
Aaron serves as a trustee for Educational Records Bureau (ERB) and Private School Axis. He was a founding board member of the Los Angeles Administrators of Color in Independent Schools and a member of the Los Angeles Association of Independent School Admission Directors board. He also serves on the selection committee for the
Caroline D. Bradley Scholarship. Aaron earned a M.S.Ed. in school leadership from University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in history from Williams College.
