We examined the backgrounds of sitting Fortune 500 general counsels to identify profiles, their routes up and trends in the legal function.
Methodology
The Spencer Stuart Fortune 500 General Counsel Index is an analysis of the GCs at Fortune 500 companies in 2017. The data represents a snapshot of executives sitting in the GC seat as of Dec. 31, 2017.
