Norton Lara leads the Financial Services and Business & Professional Services practices in Brazil and Latin America. From a functional perspective, Norton conducts searches in technology, digital transformation, risk management, legal and strategy for both financial and non-financial companies.

History of industry and consulting experience

  • Norton brings more than 12 years of industry and management consulting experience to his role.
  • Before entering the executive search industry, Norton was a partner and executive at IBM Brazil, where he led the relationship with Bradesco.
  • Norton also spent more than 10 years in management consulting at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, A.T. Kearney and Oliver Wyman. In those roles, he assisted leading financial institutions in Brazil and Latin America with growth strategies, turnarounds and profitability improvement efforts.

Norton earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul and his M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He also attended the University of Heidelberg and the University of Tunis. He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English. In addition, he has a strong command of French, Italian and German; and speaks and writes Arabic at a basic level. Norton is also a board member at Instituto Ayrton Senna and heads its people and talent committee.
