Andrés Múgica is a member of Spencer Stuart’s Industrial Practice, advising on management, strategy design/implementation and business turnaround by fostering a talent- and communication-based culture. Based in Mexico City, Andrés has more than 30 years of experience leading global industrial operations across North America, South America and Europe, primarily in the chemicals, automotive and renewable energy industries.
Purpose-driven leader with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Before joining Spencer Stuart, Andrés spent six years running the global mining and fluor -based chemicals division for Orbia, a multinational industrial conglomerate.
- Previously, Andrés co-founded a renewable energy design and engineering firm in Mexico, where he developed industrial and large-scale solar photovoltaic projects.
- Also, Andrés spent 10 years in Europe (Spain) running a Bus manufacturing business.
- Andrés began his career with Holcim, where he headed operations for the company’s ready mixed concrete business in Mexico.
Andrés is a graduate of Universidad Anahuac, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is also earned an MBA from Universidad Iberoamericana. He speaks Spanish, English and conversational French.
