Amy Mills is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Leadership Advisory Services. She focuses her work on enabling client organizations to find, grow and nurture leaders who are inspirational, engaged, passionate, resilient and transformative, enhancing individual and organizational performance. A leadership behavior expert, Amy leads enterprise-wide global assessment implementations, leadership assessment, development and executive coaching projects with the world’s largest and most successful organizations, helping leaders across industries manage complex issues.

  • Amy was managing director of the leadership assessment and development practice of Kincentric, a Spencer Stuart company. She worked with hundreds of leaders, supporting their development and career advancement through guided self-discovery and practical behavioral change. She conducted assessments, development, succession and coaching for over a thousand leaders.
  • She has extensive experience as a leader herself and has built and led large client delivery teams of Ph.D. and master’s-level psychologists, as well as teams of service associates, sales executives and marketing professionals delivering solutions to 80+ global clients.
  • Amy is a career assessment expert, having published articles on the topic in The Journal of Applied Psychology and The Journal of Management. She has designed and implemented assessments worldwide, and is certified on Hogan Assessments, OPQ, 16PF, MBTI, Facet5 and a wide range of other tools.

Amy earned a Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology from State University of New York, University at Albany, as well as a B.S. in psychology with a business minor (with honors) from Pennsylvania State University. She is an experienced and International Coaching Federation (ICF) certified executive coach and sits on the board of ICF in Michigan.
