Justin is a member of the firm’s Consumer and Technology, Media & Telecommunications practices. Justin brings extensive region-wide strategy consulting and practical industry experience to his search work across Greater China and Asia. He serves clients across multiple consumer sectors, including packaged goods, hospitality and leisure, and retail, apparel and luxury. He also works extensively in the media and entertainment, sports, digital and professional services arenas. Justin has placed executives into many APAC and country CEO roles, as well as into marketing, sales, finance, operations, supply chain, HR and other functional leadership positions. He also has extensive experience working with private equity investors and their portfolio companies. Justin led Spencer Stuart’s Greater China business and team as well as the firm’s Marketing Officer Practice for the Asia Pacific region for many years.

Consumer industry expertise with an Asia Pacific perspective

  • Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Justin was a partner with the Boston Consulting Group in greater China and a core member of the firm’s consumer, global advantage and strategy practice areas. He advised multinational clients in apparel, fast-moving consumer goods, food and beverage, travel and tourism, and consumer durables sectors across the region.
  • In this role, Justin also worked with clients on issues including talent management, organization development and design, cultural change, corporate development, growth and route-to-market strategies, government relations, branding, product design and consumer insight.
  • Previously, Justin was a China-based executive for Alcoa. He directed the establishment of a regional aerospace service center in Shanghai, including helping to open a new facility and building the management team. He also led a market development department that supported three joint venture production sites across China.

Justin graduated with first-class honors from the University of Melbourne with bachelor’s degrees in law and commerce, and holds an MBA with honors from Harvard Business School. He founded the Children of Rural China Foundation and speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
