Based in Chicago, Dawn Bartholomew is the head of corporate development for Spencer Stuart. She is responsible for the firm’s corporate development strategy, seeking out and establishing strategic partnerships, launching joint ventures and driving investment activities for the firm.
Corporate development expertise
Prior to Spencer Stuart, Dawn was vice president of corporate development for Huron Consulting Group, where she was mainly responsible for their mergers & acquisitions (M&A) in a variety of sectors. She also gained experience in integration planning.
Previously, Dawn did corporate development work for UnitedHealth Group/Optum (formerly Ingenix), where she was responsible for deal execution activities, including target engagement, due diligence, negotiations and financial analysis.
Before this, Dawn was a director of transaction support at KPMG, leading its financial due diligence teams for several of acquisitions. She began her career working on similar efforts for Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen.
Dawn has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from John Carroll University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
