Steve Patscot is the North American leader of Spencer Stuart’s Human Resources Practice, where he advises CEOs, boards and senior human resources executives on leadership and succession planning issues. His expertise is also at work with the firm’s Leadership Advisory Services. Steve was recently recognized with Spencer Stuart’s prestigious Lou Rieger quality award for outstanding client service.

Real-world experience

  • Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Steve led global HR teams for General Electric across a variety of industry segments, including medical imaging, medical devices, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, information technology, equipment service and professional services. He was responsible for segments around the world totaling more than $16 billion in revenue.
  • Steve has been directly involved in the assessment, recruitment and assimilation of more than 250 senior executives and hundreds of HR executives worldwide. He also has been involved in more than 30 merger & acquisition transactions, which has given him significant experience in organizational alignment, culture and talent.
  • He has developed extensive organizational transformation and integration experience in 25 years in business and human resource management. He has written for and been quoted in numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, Business Week and Sales and Marketing.

Steve is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master's degree in industrial and labor relations. He completed the healthcare executive education program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business. He serves on the board for Junior Achievement of Wisconsin.
