Kathleen Tamayo is a member of the global Industrial Practice in Spencer Stuart’s Chicago office and works with clients across the Engineered Products and Solutions sector, with particular expertise in the automotive and commercial vehicle industries. Kathleen’s work concentrates on top leadership at the corporate and divisional levels as well as industrial board searches.
Breadth of economics and executive search experience
In addition to advising Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Tier 1 suppliers and dealer groups, Kathleen has experience working with mobility service organizations and private equity companies with transportation-related investments. Kathleen has worked with clients on more than 200 executive-level search and board assignments since joining the firm.
Kathleen began her career in the human capital practices at Arthur Andersen and Deloitte & Touche, providing consulting and analysis related to insurance, taxation and compensation.
Prior to entering the world of search, Kathleen was an economic consultant with Huron Consulting Group and Chicago Partners (now part of Charles River Associates). She developed extensive experience working with Fortune 100 clients in the areas of strategic planning, data modeling and litigation assessment.
Kathleen earned a Bachelor of Arts with honors in economics from Saint Mary’s College. She received her M.B.A. from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, where she focused on accounting, econometrics and managerial/organizational behavior.
