Simon Fenton, based in Hong Kong, leads the firm’s Greater China business and is managing director for strategic markets and practices. He is also part of the firm’s management team. He is a member of the Financial Services Practice, focusing mainly on senior-level appointments within asset management and wealth management, as well as other sectors within the practice. Simon is also a member of the firm’s Board Services Practice. Since joining Spencer Stuart, Simon has been responsible for leading the European Financial Services Practice, the U.K. office and the Firm’s EMEA/ India regional business.
Simon joined Spencer Stuart in 1998 after 13 years at Kleinwort Benson. After beginning as a portfolio manager investing in European equities, Simon moved to New York, where he was responsible for the company’s institutional clients investing internationally. In this role he was appointed senior vice president. Recently, he worked closely with the company’s U.S.-based fixed income team and looked after their Asian-based clients. He returned to London in 1995 to lead the company's international institutional sales efforts. Following Dresdner's acquisition of Kleinwort Benson, Simon was closely involved in the integration of the asset management businesses and became director of sales and marketing for Western and Southern Europe and the Middle East.
Simon earned a B.A. with honours in geography from Durham University.
