Simone Maggioni leads Spencer Stuart's global Industrial Practice, and is based in the firm's Brussels office.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart in March 2000 Simone served as vice president of sales and marketing for a global automotive parts company based in Italy. Prior to that, he spent five years in the U.S., where he worked as partner in a Detroit-based consulting firm which specialized in developing business in the U.S. market for medium-sized European companies, particularly in the automotive industry.
He began his career in 1989 at Bocconi University of Milan, as a teaching assistant in economics. During this time, he pioneered the research field for the economic transition of a centrally planned economy (the Soviet Union) to a market economy, publishing a paper on the convertibility of the ruble. At the same time, he served as assistant to the managing director of IMISP, the first business school in Russia created by Bocconi University.
Simone has a degree in economics from Bocconi University and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. He speaks Italian, English and French.
