An experienced search consultant and retail executive, Ollo den Tex is a member of Spencer Stuart's Consumer Goods & Services Practice. He specializes in searches for CEOs, board directors and marketing and sales directors within the advertising, communications, consumer goods and retail industries.
Ollo joined Spencer Stuart from another international executive search firm, where he managed that firm's Amsterdam office. He also was a member of the consumer practice and served a wide range of both international and local clients. Prior to that he had been a consultant in Spencer Stuart's Amsterdam office, where he led the firm’s efforts within the communications sector in Europe.
Before his career in executive search, Ollo was a partner at PMSvW/Young & Rubicam, where he was responsible for the account management organization and responsible for large corporate accounts such as KLM, AKZO and Delta Lloyd. Ollo earlier served as client services director of Young & Rubicam in Amsterdam, and spent two years as commercial director of a hypermarket chain owned by Schuitema, an Ahold subsidiary.
He began his career at Vroom & Dreesmann Department Stores as a management trainee in 1972, ultimately advancing to the position of vice president of merchandising.
Ollo served as a lieutenant in the Royal Dutch Navy. He currently is chairman of the Dutch Multiple Sclerosis Society. He received a master's degree in Dutch civil law at Leiden University.
