David Small has an extensive background in general management and marketing in major industrial companies and focuses primarily on the industrial, consumer, engineering, construction and energy sectors.
Immediately prior to joining Spencer Stuart, David was general manager of inks and coatings, Australia and New Zealand, for SICPA Australia Pty. Ltd., a leading international supplier of printing inks and machinery.
Previously, he worked with ICI Australia from 1989 to 1995, where he led the polypropylene, engineering plastics and advanced ceramics businesses. His responsibilities also encompassed two advanced ceramics operations in North America. In his earlier career, he spent seven years with BTR Nylex in its plastics conversion operations in technical and business development roles.
David was educated at Monash University, graduating with a bachelor of science (hons) degree in chemistry and a master of business administration.
