E.C. Grayson

E.C. Grayson is a consultant in the San Francisco office of Spencer Stuart. Prior to joining Spencer Stuart in 1990, Grayson's search consulting experience included three years as the number one recruiter in the United States for another major international executive search firm. 

Following 25 years in marketing and management in the insurance industry, Grayson joined the Reagan Administration in March 1981 as principal deputy assistant secretary of the Navy and served as chairman of the Department of Defense Health Care Cost Containment Task Force in 1983 84. A reserve Naval Intelligence captain, he has had broad experience on the Washington political scene and in Naval, Marine Corps and maritime affairs.

Grayson served as the head of business groups for Reagan Bush in 1984, as finance director of Don Rumsfeld's Political Action Committee in 1986 1987, and served as co chair of President Bush’s National Finance Committee in 1988 and 1992.

Grayson is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, has held faculty positions at the University of California (Extension) and Purdue (Pension Institute) and has received an honorary doctorate in Humane Letters from National University.
