Justin Menkes is a member of Spencer Stuart’s Board, Industrial and Private Equity practices, applying his deep understanding of leadership performance to his C-level work with clients across financial services, industrial and other sectors. Recent clients have included a global packaging company, a multinational industrial conglomerate and a leading integrated oil company.
Insight into the drivers of leadership performance
- Justin’s research in the field of evaluating C-suite executives and preparing individuals for the CEO position led him to the discovery of Executive Intelligence and the creation of a methodology to measure it.
- He began working with Spencer Stuart in 2002, when the Executive Intelligence Group (EIG), a company he co-founded, formed an exclusive partnership with the firm. When EIG was formally acquired in 2007, Justin joined the firm as a consultant.
- Justin has received international recognition for his expertise in the area of executive performance, authoring a book about the traits of successful chief executives in the 21st century titled Better Under Pressure, published by Harvard Business Review Press. He also wrote the Wall Street Journal best seller Executive Intelligence, as well as articles for Chief Executive magazine, Directorship magazine and Harvard Business Review.
Justin graduated with honors from Haverford College and received his M.A. in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Justin holds a Ph.D. in organizational behavior from Claremont Graduate University. During his doctoral work there, Justin studied under the late Peter Drucker.
