Maria Eugênia Bias Fortes is a member of the firm’s Education, Nonprofit & Government Practice as well as of the Consumer Goods & Services Practice. As a member of the Legal Search and Marketing Officer functional practices, she also specializes in legal counsel and chief marketing officer assignments across a variety of industries. Maria Eugênia brings more than 20 years of combined executive search, marketing and law firm experience to her role.
Before joining Spencer Stuart, Maria Eugênia was the marketing director for distinguished financial institutions that included Deutsche Bank, Caixa Econômica Federal and Banco BMC. She was previously a product manager for Varig Airlines and for Barbosa, Mussnich & Aragão, one of Brazil’s leading full-service law firms.
Maria Eugênia holds a degree in business administration and international trade from União de Negócios Administrativos — UNA in Belo Horizonte. She speaks fluent Portuguese and English.
