Sunaina Patel is a consultant in the Mumbai office of Spencer Stuart, focusing on the Financial Services and Consumer Goods & Services practices.
Having lived and worked in geographies throughout the U.S., Europe and India, Sunaina brings to the firm career experience that spans the globe. Immediately prior to joining Spencer Stuart, she worked as an independent consultant, a role in which she concentrated on advising private equity firms on investment opportunities, building growth strategies for portfolio companies and advising large businesses on corporate social responsibility strategies. She also has worked in the areas of infrastructure finance and emerging markets private equity where she played a key role in influencing public policy, driving investment policy and identifying new business initiatives.
Sunaina began her career with the Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation (IDFC), India's premier infrastructure investor. She later joined the Mumbai office of the Boston Consulting Group in India, where she focused on strategic and operational assignments across several sectors, including healthcare, consumer goods and financial services.
Sunaina holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in economics from Oberlin College in the U.S., and has an M.B.A. from INSEAD. Her other interests include reading, yoga, cooking and scuba diving.
