Rory Verrett is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Atlanta office and is a member of the firm’s Education, Nonprofit & Public Policy Practice as well as its Diversity Practice. He also is active in the firm’s Legal Search Practice, recruiting general counsel and senior legal executives in the nonprofit sector.
Conducting search assignments for senior executives for health and human services organizations, foundations and trade associations, Rory’s most recent searches include senior leadership roles for the American Cancer Society, the American Bar Association and Emory University.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Rory conducted searches for major nonprofit clients at another leading global executive search firm. Before his career in search, he worked extensively in public policy and law and was CEO of a leading public policy and diversity consulting firm. Rory also has served as senior counsel for governmental affairs for Entergy Corporation and as chief counsel to a member of Congress.
Rory has served as both director and trustee on several nonprofit boards, including Howard University, the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta’s Advisory Board, Court Appointed Special Advocates and Theatrical Outfit.
Rory is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Howard University, where he was awarded the Harry S. Truman Scholarship for excellence in public service.
