Bruce Halbeck is a senior member of the firm's Financial Services Practice and a leader in its Insurance Practice. He has 20 years of experience serving insurance clients and has led a broad range of CEO and senior executive management searches for both privately held and publicly traded companies in insurance and related industries.
Before joining Spencer Stuart, Bruce led the global insurance practice for another leading global executive search firm. Earlier in his career, he served for seven years with Kidder, Peabody & Co., an investment banking firm where he was responsible for the origination and execution of mergers and acquisitions and private as well as public capital market activities for domestic and international insurance companies. Bruce has worked extensively with board members, CEOs and other senior executives around the world who lead property/casualty, reinsurance, capital markets, brokerage, life and insurance-related services and outsourcing businesses.
Bruce earned a master's degree with distinction from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and holds a bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin. He is currently a member of the board of the Southeast Chicago Commission and the Francis W. Parker School.
