Aki Mishima is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Tokyo office, and is a member of the firm’s Life Sciences, Consumer Goods & Services and Industrial practices. He brings more than 25 years of international business experience and deep sector and functional expertise to each executive search assignment.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Aki was the regional marketing director for North Asia of Herbalife. He led the team in Korea and Japan, growing the business exponentially in the region. Prior to that, Aki spent more than 20 years with Suntory, one of the leading food and beverage companies in Japan. During his tenure at Suntory, he took various management responsibilities including sales, marketing, finance and strategic planning. While working in the U.S. for several years, he focused on business development and subsidiary management and participated in many M&A projects to expand Suntory’s U.S. business. Later, he was assigned to work with Cerebos Pacific in Singapore, a listed subsidiary partially owned by Suntory. As the regional marketing vice president, he led the team in Asia Pacific (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore) on a number of regional projects for innovative marketing for its health supplement business.
Aki holds an M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Law degree from University of Tokyo.
