Tom Snyder is a member of the Spencer Stuart’s Board Services Practice and co-leads the firm's Retail, Apparel & Luxury Goods Practice. He has more than 13 years of search experience and 18 years of line experience. Tom has completed more than 30 CEO assignments, 40 Division President or COO assignments and 70 Board assignments. His clients include domestic and international retailers and consumer companies. He specializes in the recruitment of CEOs, their direct reports and corporate directors. Tom's clients have included ACE Hardware, Advance Auto Parts, Bob Evans, Circuit City, Dollar General, Eddie Bauer, Follett, Lowe’s, Meijer, Michaels Stores, RadioShack, Wal-Mart Stores, Winn-Dixie and World Kitchen.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart 13 years ago, Tom was with ConAgra, where he held the position of president, general manager and assistant to the president and chief operating officer of the ConAgra Refrigerated Products Group. Previously, Tom was senior vice president of Jacobs Suchard and vice president for Nestle Foods. Earlier in his career, he served in various sales and marketing roles with Coca-Cola Foods and Procter & Gamble. He also spent five years working in retail. He has a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Scranton, Pennsylvania.
