After graduating from Durham University with a degree in sociology, Marcus Hanbury joined the Marks & Spencer management trainee program before spending five years with an international recruitment firm specializing in finance and banking appointments.
Marcus joined Spencer Stuart in 2000, and has since specialized in financial services assignments, predominantly in asset management and investment banking, working in the U.K. and Europe. He has covered a broad spectrum of functions within this market including sales, marketing and HR roles. In particular, he has focused on distribution, client relationship management and product specialist assignments across the U.K. and Continental Europe. He also has experience in consumer and commercial finance, private equity and insurance.
