José Luis Barroilhet is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Santiago office, where he is a member of the firm’s Industrial and Life Sciences practices. He conducts search assignments for a range of general management and functional leadership roles for organizations throughout Latin America.
Since joining Spencer Stuart in 2000, José has specialized primarily in the metals and mining, aviation and energy utility sectors. He has conducted more than 200 senior-level executive assignments for multinational and regional clients, including Lan Airlines, Anglo American and Antofagasta Minerals. In addition, he has specialized expertise in executive search in Peru.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, José served as an industrial engineer with Cade-Idepe (now Amec), one of the largest engineering consulting firms in Chile.
A graduate of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile’s industrial engineering program, José also has a diploma in international relations from Tokyo University. He is fluent in Spanish and English and also speaks Portuguese.
