Ignacio (Iñaki) Suárez de Puga joined Spencer Stuart to serve clients in the consumer goods, retail and hospitality industries across Europe. He works out of the London and Madrid offices and is the European leader of the Hospitality & Leisure Practice.
Iñaki has a combined experience as a consultant, human resources director and general manager of more than 18 years in three continents.
He began his career with Arthur Young Consulting and later joined the HayGroup, where he successfully established the competency-base solutions practice (Hay/McBer) in Spain and Hong Kong. Iñaki joined PepsiCo Restaurants International in Dallas as HR director and later became the company’s HR director for Spain. After the re-franchising of the business, he moved to London to assume HR responsibility for Yum Restaurants International in Europe. During the last four years with YRI, Iñaki was general manager for Southern Europe, responsible for the relationships with franchisees in countries around the Mediterranean. Iñaki also led the entry of Yum’s brands into emerging markets such as the Balkans and Russia.
Iñaki received a bachelor’s degree in international relations and management from Webster University in Vienna, Austria, and holds an M.B.A. from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.
He speaks Spanish, English and German.
